Abstract

360° reality capture with mapped metadata
Abstract
OpenSpace worksites accumulate piles of geo-located content: field notes, change
requests, messaging. All of it inaccessible while doing a capture walk.
I prototyped a capture experience that surfaces this content at the right place and time.
A path trace keeps track of what's been covered in a capture session. We can alert to a photo request as the user approaches the right zone. Unresolved field notes can be updated along the way, instead of requiring a separate walk.

Abstract
As Hover expanded from pros to homeowners, new users frequently bounced during
their first capture. ARCapture creates a visual feedback loop between the user's camera & our
CV backend, ensuring beginner's luck for everyone.
We took advantage of LIDAR & on-device CV reconstruction to guide homeowners towards a good capture with no blind spots.

Comprehensive design system in Figma & React
Abstract
I piloted design systems at Hover with this Sketch (then Figma) library. My FE
partner built a comprehensive component library in React, published to an intranet
wiki.
Development velocity spiked on our team. Features were increasingly developed with no new presentation code, often with little design (gasp) input.
It wasn't long before Hover invested in a dedicated design systems team to replicate our results company-wide.

A white label configurator for residential architects and contractors
Abstract
I joined the Design Studio team to help visually refresh and expand a
mobile-only product to tablet & web.
I drew a suite of custom icons, updated 3D styling, and added a new navigation style to suit the larger format. We piloted dark mode at Hover with this MVP.
